Well, that was December
Madeline is now three months old. It is tough to find time to blog. Or eat or sleep, for that matter. 🙂 She’s actually been a really good sleeper – 7, 8, 9 hours a night.
Her third month was a busy one. At the beginning we drove to Washington, DC; Charlotte, North Carolina; and then Virginia Beach (I blogged about that).
She finally is starting to enjoy baths. You may remember at first she seemed, well, apprehensive. Now she’s pretty happy:

…and the wonder of ceiling lights…
Then we started preparing for Christmas. Madeline and Henry sat on Santa Claus:
Nicole and I put together a great shadowbox for her dad, with a bunch of his Boy Scouts memorabilia from the late 60s. This was a fun project!
Then it was time to celebrate Christmas:
Last night we arrived in Saint John, New Brunswick. I love the highways here; very nice to see a 110 km/h speed limit. Ontario, are you listening?
We went to a place called Britt’s Pub tonight:
We just arrived in Halifax, Nova Scotia, ahead of a severe winter storm heading our way that will probably slow us down a little bit as we start heading back west (we are shooting for Summerside, PEI tomorrow afternoon). But we do plan on being in North Bay by January 2nd.
Awesome blog!!! Love all the photo’s, especially the black and white of Madeline with her father in the bedroom, and Madeline driving the SUV. I didn’t see that sweater (or is it pajamas?) with the figure skates on it; that’s great! Also, that’s a HUGE glass of ice tea with lemon that Nicole’s drinking. Why drink ice tea in Canada, in December? Where you staying in Halifax?? For awhile there I thought maybe you guys were stuck in a Canadian ditch somewhere because I hadn’t heard a word from you since you left!! Happy 3-month birthday to Madeline!!
