Yard fun, a recital, and Davis Farmland

We’ve been taking advantage of the great weather. A few shots from the yard last weekend:

And yesterday we did bacon and French toast on the grill; smashing success!

A recital – sort of

Last week Madeline and Henry had a recital at day care as part of their Kinder Dance program. They were so excited leading up to it, then got stage fright in the way you might expect two year olds to get stage fright. So they watched their own recital quite happily from the crowd.

Davis Farmland

Today we went to Davis Farmland in Sterling, MA. I was expecting corny petting zoo and awful barnyard smells, but this was a very well-run place with lots of friendly staff and really clean grounds. Lots of interesting and friendly animals, and while at the beginning of the day Madeline had no interest in getting close to any animals, by the end of the day we got her on a pony and had her petting a baby bunny. Pretty awesome Sunday, and I highly recommend it.
